Madison’s Story

A Letter from Madison Sutton - The NYC Agent

Hello, I’m Madison Sutton, known professionally as @TheNYCAgent, and I built NYC FARE Reporter because I know this city—and its rental market—inside and out.

This isn’t just a reporting form. It’s a system for accountability, visibility, and public pressure. With clarity, compassion, and a shot of audacity.

My Real Estate Journey

I began my career as a New York City real estate agent, guiding hundreds of renters into homes—95% of the time no-fee apartments.

Across my social media platforms, I grew to 150K followers and 1.1M+ likes, turning every listing into an open book—straightforward, real, and accessible—because New Yorkers deserve clarity.

My approach earned coverage in 100+ press outlets including Bloomberg, CNN, WSJ, Forbes, and Fox Business and lead to speaking opportunities across the world in front of thousands.

My Tech Transition

I’ve since left real estate to build technology and consulting to provide AI Optimized solutions, but here’s what most people didn’t see: I was already building tech behind the scenes for years.

I was building systems, running pilots, and doing prop-tech consulting. I was creating custom CRMs, automating workflows, and testing AI before most people knew what GPT was—because I needed systems that could scale.

Now I work as a Technical Perspective Generator and AI Strategist, consulting for prop-tech startups, SaaS companies, and product teams. I help bridge the gap between “cool tech” and actual workflow integration—because I’ve been in both rooms: running the business and quietly iterating the backend.

My focus is hybrid business systems that amplify the human element, not replace it. I architect solutions at the intersection of AI, systems optimization, and digital storytelling—working across startups, hospitality groups, and innovative consumer products.

NYC FARE Reporter represents my transition from building internal tools to creating public-interest technology that fundamentally changes how systems operate. This is the first civic tech system I’m launching, but it won’t be the last.
